Magnavox Odyssey

Developed as a 50's idea using 60's technology; this 70's console first released in 1972 was the first machine capable of making video games playable in the home thanks to Ralph Baer.

The Odyssey doesn't use ROM chips, which won't be invented for a few years yet - but uses Jumpers to alter the electronic circuit through the machine.

Through the use of existing and newly created Gamecards, and with help of devices such as Boojakascha's Multicard homebrew games can be created bringing new life to this old system.

Some of Boojakascha's Multicards I paid to be produced is still available for purchase here .

Games I've produced for the system include:

Demakes:

Space War (Fairchild Channel F)

Puck Man (Pac Man Arcade)

Submarine (PC-50X)

Original:

WIP - First Fantasy Tales of Odyssey

WIP - Modern TV Gun Games including Clay Pigeon and Shooting Range concepts

Emulation:

Odysseus - A PC simulation program capturing the feel of playing an Odyssey with additional features (Coming Soon)
